Safely in Oahu

We arrived yesterday at 2:30 PM in Oahu and met up with Pulelelua.  After a hike with the dogs, we enjoyed a lovely supper made by Pu and then we crashed.  Today we were up early for another dog walk and had breakfast at Starbucks down the street. It is kind of difficult slowing down, but this is a good thing to work on.  The weather is amazing although it is cloudy it is warm.  We hope to go for a swim today and do some shopping.
It is winter here but the trees still bloom.
This tree spreads by having roots grow from its branches down into the ground.  My uncle showed me some photos of trees in Egypt doing the same thing.

Sleepful in Seattle

Hello dear friends and family!!!!

We made it to Seattle.  Rocky gave us a wonderful time.  He drove us around the city and we took lots of photos that I will add to this blog later.  We visited a wonderful castle, Craigdarroch Castle. We had a lovely supper at Milestone with Uncle Rocky, Cathy and Peter her partner.
The foyer in the Castle - the woodwork is amazing.

A gown from the Castle Estate.

From the roof top of the castle.

Formal wear on the fourth floor ball room of the castle

As most of you know we are survivors of Air Canada.  Because of heavy winds we had to make an emergency landing to refuel and have the electrics fixed.  Instead of taking 5 hours, the trip took 11 hours.  They did find our luggage the next day.

One of many peacocks at Beacon Hill Park in Victoria.
A chubby squirrel look for a handout at Beacon Hill Park.

We were okay, just tired.  Our only concern was that Rocky waited for us.  Other than that we were great and I saw it as an adventure!

When we landed in Vancouver, all the passengers clapped!

There was no snow in Victoria and we walked around with our coats open.  We have to move here in the winter.

Look at the size of that trunk!

Look at the size of me!!
Rocky is a good cook and an amazing host!  Can't wait to see him again.  He offered to go with us if we take the Alaskan Cruise.   Cathy also said that she would go.  Sounds like a plan!
 Washington State in the distance.
The sun tries to break through.
Some parts of the Victoria Forests are so dense that the sun cannot break through so moss grows on the trees.  In real life, it is actually lovely.  It resembles lace

Blessings to you all!
